Sorry if me posting this is annoying I’m just fangirling so hard right now and I need to share it with someone xD makeup talk with Chris Motionless ughh *-*
This is so beyond fucking creepy. This is NOT me talking to this girl and this is a prime example of the bullshit that contributes to ruining some fans for me. So fucked.
I hate the Internet and all of these social media websites so much anymore. The ONLY reason I have a Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook page at this point in time is to solely prevent others from starting a fake one in my absence. I don’t check any of these sites anymore because of stuff like this. I was told about this post and obviously being looked at as though I’m texting an underage girl doesn’t fucking fly with me.
I know because I’m posting this there’s going to be fan backlash towards other fans. This post isn’t attacking the girl who thinks I’m texting her, it’s directed towards the person who is claiming to be me. ***I’m not asking any of you to wage war against other fans! I think you all need to drop the “who’s a real/fake fan” bullshit immediately. I don’t think our fans realize how much they are pushing people away from our band. I used to read all the time that people felt threatened by a lot of your persecution and discrimination. It’s the biggest joke ever to me to read that shit because you are all then entirely missing the point of what it is to be a fan of Motionless In White. Get off the fucking Internet and grow up, please. There’s far more to life than tumblr and twitter.
For those fans that DON’T do all the creepy shit or hypocritical garbage, I thank you! Thank you for being polite and respectful. I know this is a war bands will never win as long as social media is around, but thank you for not contributing to the negative side of things.
Q’s and A’s
I keep getting asked a bunch of questions about a lot of things pertaining to the new record. The most reoccurring currently is “who is that singing at the end of Sinematic? Ghost or Ricky?” among as I said, a lot of others.
With that being said.. I’ll try once again to clear some of these up. I see so much false information all over tumblr, FB and of course.. the #1 haven for false info… Wikipedia. So i’d like to try and take care of this in one shot instead of trying to answer everyone’s tons of questions individually.
First off, No it is not Ricky or Ghost singing on Sinematic. It’s me. Ghost and Ricky have never recorded any clean vocals for our band in it’s entire existence. Where did so many people get that it’s them singing from?? They both have very minor little screaming parts (ricky screams some small parts in “we only come out at night” and “.com pt 2” and Ghost screams one line in “Synthetic Love”) but those are the only vocals they have ever tracked for MIW. It’s the same shit we went through when TJ was removed from the band. People always thought it was TJ singing on our Ep’s and on the Creatures record and were pissed about it when he was out of the band. TJ never sang anything more than a few words on those records either!!! Every major clean and screaming vocal part on any of our records besides the guest vocal parts have always been me. I don’t understand how people could not notice that when you either see us live or watch youtube videos and it’s me singing the main lines and ghost and ricky do a lot of backup vocals. Or even better yet.. every one of our music videos clearly shows me singing all of the song except for the short backup vocal screams and stuff. “Backup vocals” means exactly that.. Backup.. not Lead.
Here is another topic people seem to recently be confused by. Ricky and I write and record all of MIW’s music. Yes, thats right… all of the guitars, keyboards, programming etc…. that you hear on Creatures and Infamous were written by ricky and myself. Yes I play guitar and keyboards, Yes Ricky does too and can program the shit out of some electronic parts. For Infamous, we then took everything we had to the studio to expand that process with the producers. Tim Skold, Jason Suecof and a close friend and co writer Mick Kenney all helped us out this time around. I arrange all of our songs musically and then I write all of the lyrics and singing/screaming patterns over them once i’m happy with where the music is at. That’s how it’s always been with everything we’ve ever done. Bet you didn’t know that one. That’s how it is for a LOT of bands you know and love. It’s funny to me when people think all I do is scream for the band. LOL.
and lastly before this post gets too long. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about our music video’s claiming that we in the band have no say in the content of the video as well some other pretty ignorant shit. That is entirely false. We are lucky enough to be on a great label that supports my vision for our videos. All 3 of the music video’s from Creatures and the new Devil’s Night video all start with my ideas and then I collaborate with the Director and the band to come to a final treatment that Fearless approves. I can’t say that’s the same for all bands, but for us, The idea’s start in the band and goes from there.
I would love to meet the person that updates the Motionless In White wikipedia page. Hey buddy! maybe if you’re reading this, you can go update it with what you have learned. I would appreciate it instead of having to read so much false shit. Hey fans, maybe now that you know this stuff, you help clear it up to others when they are incorrect or not sure. I would appreciate that as well so we can all try to keep people correctly informed and less confused. I know it’s a losing battle, but do me a favor and from this point on look to the band itself or a member of the band you want to know info on and get it officially instead of a hack job site. I’m not just talking about us, I speak for all bands. Thank you!!
We live in a world where people look to others for inspiration, influence and important life values. The unfortunate downfall I see with this, is that more often than not, I see people look up to a lot of mindless public figures for the sense of direction of who they should be rather than figuring it out for themselves. I don’t think the general population knows what self discovery is anymore. Or by the time they get there, the damage has already been done. I know a lot of people have said to me that they look to me for these types of things. Although I feel fortunate that i’ve somehow managed to be a figure of influence, it doesn’t mean I condone it. I want people to find out who they are and what makes them comfortable in their skin on their own. Not because *i* or someone else told them how to. I wanted to get into music because aside from my passion to create and perform, I wanted to help people the way music helped me. Not to tell them who they should be or how they should live. However, I quickly learned that what my plan was had dramatically changed by how tremendous of a response I received about the things I had to say. I feel like it has now become my moral obligation to try and present what I view as the best possible outlook IF it must be that people will inevitably take something from what I say.
With that being said, this song is about my thoughts on how disgusted I am with WHO the majority of the people I see end up looking to for these values and lifestyle choices. I see young women looking to “beauty” magazines, artists and musicians or these fucking hollow, fabricated, bullshit characters on TV shows to tell them what’s beautiful. I see shit about kids killing themselves every fucking day because of bullying. Many of these cases because of them being ridiculed for not fitting in with what’s fucking trendy or cool at the moment. I see a world of “reality” television where these rich giggling cunts who have done nothing with their lives except suck daddy’s dick live these lives of glamour while the rest of us fucking suffer the weight of not even having enough gas money to get to our jobs to make more money to continue the perpetual cycle that is REAL life.
Why the FUCK are these people being put on a pedestal?? Am I missing something? I’ll never understand and I 100% realize that I am fighting a losing battle. At the very least, this song is my light in the distance that these people will always see when looking out their windows. A light to let them know that I’m here and I’m going to do my best to lead a generation to revolt against this bullshit idea of what life is supposed to be.
I asked my biggest hero from my favorite band in the entire world Brandan Schiepatti from the band Bleeding Through to scream along with me on this song. If anyone out there feels the same as I do, it’s him. After all, he and his lyrics have always been what i’ve looked to for guidance and influence when I felt lost. This song means more to me than anyone can understand. Let’s make that light a little brighter. I’m coming for you mother fuckers.

For those who don’t get the title. It’s referring to Zombies. As in that’s what I’m referring to these people as.
